The exhibition Valongo: Cais de Ancestralidade is a space that invites us to rethink the history of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil and to understand the importance of the Pier. The axes show Little Africa as a place of memory and struggle for the black population, in addition to rescuing the histories, ancestry, identities and plurality of African people who were kidnapped and brought here.

The team formed by Ynaê Lopes in curation and research, Cachalote Mattos in expography, Maria Julia Ferreira in graphic design and João Raphael Santos in image research, joins Folguedo to execute this project that is so important for the history of Brazil and the world.
